This section is dedicated to the mechanisms and stages of Homo sapiens emergence. We will examine how biological (heredity, variability, natural selection) and social (labor, speech, society) factors of anthropogenesis shaped the modern human form.
Inside you will find materials on the genetic foundations of evolution, chronology, and anatomical features of ancestors across all stages of anthropogenesis. Special attention is paid to human races and adaptive types—the mechanisms of population adaptation to various climatic and geographical conditions on Earth.
In seminars and exams, you are most often asked to explain the synergy of biological and social factors in evolution, describe key aromorphoses of specific stages (from australopithecines to Cro-Magnons), and prove the biological unity of all human races. Study the materials sequentially—this will help you build a clear evolutionary picture.
